Aug 13, 2023 · Pedro Almodóvar's El Deseo, Infinity Hill and Tondero have teamed up to co-produce a film based on the 1996 Japanese embassy hostage crisis in Lima, which was a major international incident and a source of inspiration for several works of art. The film, still untitled, will be written by Alicia Luna and Santiago Roncagliolio, and will focus on the personal and political aspects of the drama from the perspectives of the hostages, the staff and the rebels.
