Sep 3, 2021 · Eleanor Ruth Wiebe. December 20, 1938 — September 3, 2021. Eleanor was born on December 20, 1938, along with twin brother, Edwin, in Newton, Kansas. The twins, born approximately 2 months early, were a surprise to their parents, Albert H. and Bertha R. (Regier) Busenitz, who were expecting only one beautiful baby.

Eleanor Wiebe was born on the family farm northeast of Hurdsfield, ND, where she graduated from high school in 1951. She received her degree in education from Valley City State College. She became a fourth and fifth grade teacher in Bloomington, MN, where she taught for 35 years, before retiring in 1990.
