Al DiMeola's fifth album from 1982 named Electric rendezvous. Well, on this album we have both, same formula we used to have on a Meola album, latino jazz and even some hard rock riffs on selftitled piece. Again some very fine musicians here Jan Hammer on keys and Paco de Lucia on acustic guitar among others.

There is plenty of interchange between DiMeola and super synthesist Jan Hammer on tracks such as "God Bird Change" and the Hammer-composed "Crusin'". This lesser-known effort is strongly recommended to fans of rock inflected jazz guitar and any Jan Hammer supporter.
Electric Rendezvous is the fifth studio album by jazz guitarist Al Di Meola that was released in 1982. It features flamenco guitarist Paco de Lucía (who recorded Friday Night in San Francisco with Di Meola and John McLaughlin) on “Passion, Grace & Fire”.
Casino, Splendido Hotel and Electric Rendezvous followed. He then joined Di Meola for a tour chronicled the same year on Tour De Force - Live ; and finally appeared throughout Scenario , using a Fairlight CMI digital synthesizer and contributing to more than half of the album's compositions.
