Eric Anthony Roberts (born April 18, 1956) is an American actor. His career began with a leading role in King of the Gypsies (1978), for which he received his first Golden Globe Award nomination. He was again recognized at the Golden Globes for his role in Bob Fosse's Star 80 (1983).

Eric Roberts is an American actor. People mostly know him for his roles in King of the Gypsies, Star 80, and Raggedy Man among others. Additionally, his sisters Julia Roberts and Lisa Roberts Gillan, and daughter Emma Roberts, also have acting careers.
Roberts initially got his start on the now-defunct NBC daytime soap opera Another World originating the role of Ted Bancroft. Next, in 1974, he appeared in the TV series How to Survive a Marriage. Later, from 1978 to 1981, he appeared in King of the Gypsies, and Pauls Case. Similarly, in 1984, he appeared in The Pope of Greenwich Village as Paulie. Since then, Roberts has appeared in other numerous movies and television series. All in all, he has over 450 credits as an actor. Some other movies and television series that Roberts has appeared in are The Coca-Cola Kid, Nobodys Fool, Best of the Best, By the Sword, Best of the Best 2, The Immortals, La Cucaracha, Purgatory, and Stiletto Dance among others.
