Eumir Deodato de Almeida (Brazilian Portuguese: [ẽwˈmiʁ deoˈdatu]; born 22 June 1943) is a Brazilian pianist, composer, arranger and record producer, primarily in jazz but who has been known for his eclectic melding of genres, such as pop, rock, disco, rhythm and blues, classical, Latin and bossa nova.

Eumir Deodato de Almeida (Rio de Janeiro, 22 de junho de 1943) é um pianista, arranjador e produtor musical brasileiro. [1] Participou do movimento Bossa Nova e da efervescência do samba jazz no início da década de 1960, estabelecendo-se como requisitado arranjador, ao lado de nomes consagrados como Radamés Gnattali e Moacir Santos. Born in Rio, Eumir Deodato got his first break at age 17 when he arranged and conducted a 28-piece orchestra. He ultimately became one of the city’s most active arrangers and pianists, recording for Milton Nascimento, Elis Regina and Antonio Carlos Jobim.
