To be sung as a third verse to “Bright College Years”. Ezra Stiles College is named to honor the memory of Ezra Stiles, Yale Class of 1746, an eminent American theologian, lawyer, scientist, and philosopher, who served as the seventh President of Yale from 1778 to 1795.
Ezra Stiles College is one of the fourteen residential colleges at Yale University, built in 1961 and designed by Eero Saarinen. The college is named after Ezra Stiles, the seventh President of Yale. Architecturally, it is known for its lack of right angles between walls in the living areas.
Ezra Stiles Head of College Office. The Head of College acts as the chief administrative officer of the residential college and presides as a faculty presence. She sets the intellectual and cultural tone of the college, lives with her family alongside Ezra Stiles students, and eats many of her meals in the college dining hall.

May 23, 2018 · Ezra received his early education at home and entered Yale College in 1742 with twelve other freshmen. He studied the classical curriculum of liberal arts: classical languages, logic, rhetoric, geometry, geography, natural philosophy, astronomy, mathematics, metaphysics, ethics, and divinity.
The Arts in Ezra Stiles. The artistic talents of Stilesians are vast and varied. Every year, students act, sing, dance, play music, produce plays, organize stand-up comedy shows, and create exhibits in the Stiles Art Gallery, the Crescent Underground Theater, the music practice rooms, and throughout any other available spaces in the college.
