Fahrenheit 9/11 is a 2004 American political documentary film directed, written by, and starring filmmaker, director and political commentator Michael Moore. The film takes a critical look at the presidency of George W. Bush, the war in Iraq, and its coverage in the media.
The title simultaneously serves as a callback to Moore's 2004 political documentary Fahrenheit 9/11 (2004) which refers to the date of the September 11 attacks in the United States. Both of Moore's documentary titles are an allusion to the 1953 dystopian novel Fahrenheit 451 (1966) by Ray Bradbury.
