One of the customers at Adler's is a very familiar character actor, William G. Schilling.From the episode title, one might expect Mr. Adler to die, he doesn't. Strangely, Jack Somack did pass away less than a year after the episode aired.The title could possibly be a play on "Death of a Salesman".Though made almost ten years later, an episode of The Wonder Years ("The Hardware Store") bears a great resemblance to this one.Alex gets burned out from his new job at the supermarket — and accidentally reveals he liked working at Adler's, not at the supermarket.
