"I Know Jennifer's Boyfriend" is the third episode in the first season of the NBC family sitcom Family Ties. It originally aired on October 6, 1982, and is the third episode of the series overall.
Jennifer is teased by her peers for being friends with a boy. She must decide how to deal with the problem when both boys and girls are invited to her birthday party.
Jennifer receives peer pressure because of her friendship with a boy, Justin Perkins (played by Jeremy Schoenberg). She faces the loss of friends if she keeps Justin as a friend. Meanwhile, the family plans Jennifer's birthday party, where questions of boy-girl friendships is out in the open.
•At Jennifer's '50s themed birthday party, Alex resembles Marty McFly during his trip to the 1950s in Back to the Future. Marty and Alex were both portrayed by Michael J. Fox.
