Feb 18, 2014 · The U.S. version of the British "Father Brown Mysteries," Dowling is equally enjoyable. As a Catholic, I appreciated how it weaved in religious themes without becoming too sanctimonious or treacly. Tom Bosley as Dowling and Tracy Nelson as Sister Steve play the main roles well, although Steve is a bit too street-smart for a nun. The writing is ...
