The Fighter is a 2010 American biographical sports drama film directed by David O. Russell, and stars Mark Wahlberg (who also produced), Christian Bale, Amy Adams, and Melissa Leo. The film centers on the lives of professional boxer Micky Ward (Wahlberg) and his older half-brother and former boxer Dicky Eklund (Bale).

The iconic founder of Jeet Kune Do made waves as a cinematic GOAT as he starred in a wealth of films that defined the martial-arts movie genre.
David O. Russell's “The Fighter” is based on Ward's true story, and perhaps Micky ( Mark Wahlberg) is flat and withdrawn here because he is in life. His family is spectacularly dysfunctional.
