    Olallie Lake Access

    The road into Olallie Lake (Forest Rd 4690 to 4220) is now free of trees. Road 46 from Detroit is also open with a possible delay for road work. The dirt road into Olallie is slow going but drivable.

    Dexter Pond road closure

Jun 30, 2015 · So I fished two evenings in a row at Alton Baker park w/o as much as a bump. 2lb flocarb leader, about 18 inches long, yellow-cheese flavor power bait, right in the middle of the canal. I was fed up so I decided to do a little experimenting and ventured to new, uncharted (by me) territory.

    • Alton Baker Park. Trout, salmon, steelhead, bass, panfish. Access is via Alton Baker Park with an adjacent trail that runs nearly the entire length. The Alton Baker Canoe Canal, a side channel of the river, is stocked with rainbow trout.
    • Beltline Landing at Beltline and River Ave., Mainstem Willamette River. Trout, salmon, steelhead, bass, panfish. Often a take-out for floating the “town run” of summer steelhead, this gravel landing also provides bank access, summer recreation and a launch for a lesser-floated reach to the town of Harrisburg.
    • Island Park, Mainstem Willamette River. Trout, salmon, steelhead, bass, panfish. Provides good bank access to the river as well as a boat ramp. Amenities: restrooms; boat launch or ramp; picnic.
    • Ruth Bascom Riverbank Path System (Willamette River Trail), Mainstem Willamette River. Trout, salmon, steelhead, bass, panfish. A unique opportunity to target summer steelhead from late spring into early fall with or without a boat.
