Group A is traditional (and great) conjunto; Group B includes Peter Rowan on guitar & vocals providing great harmonies (ala bluegrass background) and group C with Ry Cooder ( Mandolin, etc.) & Jim Keltner (drums) and Don Garcia on alto sax.

This album was released by Arhoolie from recordings made between 1986 and 1988 of the great conjunto accordion player Flaco Jiminez playing with various friends of his in the music business -- primarily Fred Ojeda, Ry Cooder, and Peter Rowan. Truthfully, on most of the tracks, the influence of his "amigos" is hardly noticeable.
