Over the years, Florida teenager Sandy Ricks (Luke Halpin) has developed a strong bond with his pet dolphin, Flipper. When he finds that a highway construction project will force him to move away from his beloved animal, Ricks decides to hightail it to the Bahamas. Reaching a small island, he happens to witness a group of escaped convicts trying to kidnap a family. Now, Ricks and Flipper must work together to save the day.
