Mr. Edwards and the residents of Walnut Grove befriend an orangutan named Blanche. Both the friendship and the fun-loving primate's life may prove to be short-lived when Nancy and Mrs. Oleson stir things up.

But in the end, it all worked out, Blanche left Walnut Grove to take up residency in the Chicago zoo and life went on as usual, though for some, it would never be the same. Great episode. "For the Love of Blanche" is one of my favorites and works so well at changing from funny to sad to tense and then to funny again.
