Fort Dobbs was an 18th-century fort in the Yadkin–Pee Dee River Basin region of the Province of North Carolina, near what is now Statesville in Iredell County.
The reconstructed fort is open for tours every 45 minutes between 9:30am - 11:45am and 1:00pm - 4:00pm. Guided fort tour admission is $2 for Adults and $1 for Children 5-12. Grounds and Visitor Center are free.

Fort Dobbs. Plan Your Visit. Situated in the Piedmont region of North Carolina near the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, Ft. Dobbs provides a window into the tumultuous period of history known as the French and Indian War (1754-1763) or Seven Years War.
Fort Dobbs was the only permanent frontier provincial fort in the colony of North Carolina. Construction began in late 1755 and was completed one year later. It served as the military headquarters for the frontier company (approximately fifty men) as well as a safe-haven for settlers.
