Bob Woodward was born on 26thof March 1943 in Geneva, Illinois, U.S. to parents, Jane (formerly, Upshur), and Alfred Eno Woodward II. His father worked as a lawyer, who would later become the chief judge of the 18th Judicial Circuit Court. His parents got divorced when he was just 12 years old, and he, his sister, and his brother were raised by his father, who later re-married. When it comes to his education, he had attended Yale College with a Naval Reserve Officers Training Corps (NROTC) scholarship and had studied history and English literature there. He completed his B.A in 1965 and began a 5-year tour of duty in the U.S. Navy.
