Frederiksværk. Frederiksværk er den største by i Halsnæs Kommune med over 12.000 indbyggere. Den næststørste by er Hundested med cirka 8.500 indbyggere. Frederiksværk har navnet efter Krudtværket, der blev anlagt i midten af 1700 tallet, og som skulle supplere kongens hær med ammunition og Kong Frederik den 5.
