The digital album was released worldwide on October 7, 2022. A CD version was released on October 21, 2022 and a vinyl version released on June 9, 2023.
On August 27, 2022, Aurora sang "Take Me Back Home" live at Earth Prom, in promotion for the TV show. The song does not appear on the album.
The BBC show premiered on September 11, 2022. Simultaneously, its opening theme song "The Frozen Planet" was officially released worldwide.
