Mar 28, 2024 · Gabriele Münter (born February 19, 1877, Berlin, Germany—died May 19, 1962, Murnau, West Germany [now in Germany]) was a German painter who was closely affiliated with the artists’ group Der Blaue Reiter (“The Blue Rider”). Münter studied the piano throughout her youth.
