I’ve worked to help New York City recover from the worst of the COVID pandemic, respond to the spike in crime, close gaps in quality of life, improve parks and public schools—and help asylum-seekers put down roots in NYC, as generations have before them. Gale Arnot Brewer (born September 6, 1951 [citation needed]) is an American Democratic politician from the state of New York who has represented the 6th New York City Council district since January 2022, a position she previously held from 2002 to 2013.
Gale A. Brewer represents the 6th Council District and chairs the Committee on Oversight and Investigations. The committee has a far reaching mandate to examine the mayoral administration, its policies, and delivery of city services.
