   Is Galveston Island State Park a good place to Camp?

   • This was my first time camping at Galveston Island State Park since Hurricane Ike destroyed much of it. The repairs/renovations made since then were very well done. All park staff were extremely nice and helpful. It's a quiet, family-friendly park. I pitched my tent on one of the new wood platforms (site 63).
