He (like a lot of us) saw the Beatles and life was never the same again. He fronted his 1st band in Pittsburgh playing guitar at the age of 14 and played in various garage bands until he headed for college.

Gary Link was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania but made a name for himself in Syracuse, New York and beyond! He's played bass for some of the biggest acts in the world, including Steppenwolf, Rita Coolidge and Dokken.
Gary Link took over on bass for 1984's Paradox but had left alongside the Palmer brothers by the end of the year, with Rocket Ritchotte (lead guitar) and Ron Hurst (drums) joining shortly after, and keyboardist Michael Wilk took the bass.
