Jul 7, 2021 · Bubba Strait was born as George Harvey Strait Jr. on May 14, 1981. He is the second child and only son of the country music icon with his wife, Norma Strait. He attended university at Texas A&M, where he began his competitive rodeo career. Soon after graduating, he became a team roper of the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA).
George Strait Jr., who is a graduate of Texas A&M, competed as a Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association team-roping competitor. Strait was able to watch his son compete at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo in 2006 shortly before taking the stage for his own performance.
