Georgetown University School of Medicine, a medical school opened in 1851, is one of Georgetown University's five graduate schools, and is the most applied-to medical school in the nation with a matriculation rate of 1.40%. It is located on Reservoir Road in the Georgetown neighborhood of Washington, DC, adjacent to the university's main campus.
At Georgetown University School of Medicine, our aim is to take the best candidates into our program and give them experience and training necessary to make a difference to all they treat, in so doing, we hope they will gain that empathy that will make them the doctors our world needs.
Georgetown seeks to graduate physicians with a generalist professional education. This process integrates the scientific, clinical, professional, and “high touch” competencies needed to deliver patient-centered care.
