Citrus Television was formed by Caroline Norris, Giles Pilbrow, and Dominic Brigstocke in 2009 while they were devising and producing Horrible Histories for CBBC. In that time, Horrible Histories won six BAFTAs, the British Comedy Award for Best Sketch Show two years running, an RTS Award, a Golden Rose, a Rocky at Banff and numerous other awards.

2DTV is a British satirical animated television series which was co-created and produced by Giles Pilbrow for ITV. It premiered on ITV on 27 March 2001 and was nominated for the Rose d'Or Award in both 2002 and 2003. The programme was considered the spiritual successor of Spitting Image, a 1980s series that also featured work by Pilbrow.
