Government House in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada, is the official office of the lieutenant governor of Saskatchewan. It was first constructed as a residence for the lieutenant governor of the North-West Territories, whose territorial headquarters were in Regina.

Government House offers a wide variety of programs for a variety of groups and interests. For special needs groups please call to discuss your program options. Bilingual options are also available for most programs.
Our History. Government House was built in 1891 and served as the official residence and office of the Lieutenant (pronounced “left-tenant”) Governor until 1945. The Lieutenant Governor is the Queen’s representative for Saskatchewan. In 1945, Government House was leased to the Department of Veterans Affairs as a convalescent home until 1957.
