Nov 8, 2015 · Gunnar Hansen, who played the iconic villain Leatherface in the original "Texas Chain Saw Massacre," died Saturday of pancreatic cancer at his home in Maine, his agent said. He was 68.
Biography. I was born in Reykjavik, Iceland, where I lived till I was five years old. Then my family moved to the US, to a small town on the coast of Maine, where I lived till I was eleven. From there, it was on to San Antonio, Texas, for a brief stay, and then Austin, Texas, where I went to high school and then the University of Texas.
