The H. Lee White Marine Museum is located in Oswego, New York. It was founded in 1982 by Rosemary Sinnett Nesbitt (1924–2009), a local professor and the City of Oswego Historian. [1] Nesbitt retired from directorship of the museum in 2008 after completing 25 years of service.

Jul 2020. The name H.Lee White is the name of a great lakes cargo ship launched in December 1973 & still in operation today. A visit starts in the gift shop that leads to a staircase & upper floor-museum is only two floors. The stairs has a working electric chair for handicapped visitors.

The museum houses an extensive collection of local maritime artifacts, depicting Oswego's significant role in the shipping industry.
The H. Lee White Marine Museum is open daily, except for Sundays during the winter months. Admission is $4.50 for adults and $2.50 for youth ages 5-12.
