Halesowen ( / heɪlzˈoʊ.ɪn / haylz-OH-in) is a market town in the Metropolitan Borough of Dudley, in the county of West Midlands, England . Historically an exclave of Shropshire and, from 1844, in Worcestershire, the town is around 7 miles (11 km) from Birmingham city centre, and 6 miles (10 km) from Dudley town centre.

Halesowen Abbey was a Premonstratensian abbey in Halesowen, England of which only ruins remain. Founded by Peter des Roches with a grant of land from King John, the abbey's official year of inauguration was 1218. It acquired two daughter abbeys and a dependent priory.
