Feb 2021. Local historian Keith Whitehouse described Hammersmith as 'the Centre of the Universe' due to so many influential people having lived here and so much innovation taking place. These days the area is full of traffic, the huge and blocky Broadway Centre slouched among it, and King Street has seen better days.
