Heinrich Luitpold Himmler (født 7. oktober 1900, død 23. maj 1945) var en tysk nazist fra 1923 – 1945. Han var en af Hitlers mest betroede medarbejdere og leder af SS ( Schutzstaffel ). Han var fra 1929 leder af sikkerhedspolitiet og blev indenrigsminister. Himmler er en af de nazistiske ledere, som var mest involveret i Holocaust .
As the leader of the SS, Heinrich Himmler was involved in numerous war crimes. The murder of Jews, Roma and Sinti, and political opponents took place under his responsibility. In April 1945, when the war was almost over, Himmler tried to escape punishment by negotiating with the Allies. In exchange for the German surrender, he demanded immunity.
