It is ending earlier than planned, yes. It (along with all other RC stories, except for the volume-based ones like TO and LSE) was originally planned to have 3 seasons, but it wasn't received very well, so it was cut to 2 seasons a while ago.

But one that holds a special spot with me is The Life and Times of Judge Roy Bean (1972). A lighter take with Paul Newman at his country best . Great cast.
