Henry I of Jawor (Polish: Henryk; c. 1292/96 – 15 May 1346), was a duke of Jawor-Lwówek-Świdnica-Ziębice during 1301–1312 (with his brothers as co-rulers), sole Duke of Jawor-Lwówek since 1312 and Duke of Głogów since 1337 until his death.

In 1278, Henry was the head of the castle in Jawor. In the years 1304-1309, the office of staroste was held by Hannemann, in the years 1347-1377 the function of Jawor burgrave, managing the castle’s fiefdom, was played by Peczolde von Betschow, and in the years 1377-1396 by Gunther Ronow.

Sep 16, 2015 · Henry I of Jawor was the 3rd son of Bolko I The Strict and Beatrice of Brandenburg, he was born in the early 1290s. His father died while Henry was still a child and it was not until 1312 that Henry assumed control of his Duchy of Jawor.

Henry succeeded his father Bolesław II as a Duke in Legnica on 26 December 1278. Shortly afterwards, Henry made his younger brothers Bolko I and Bernard co-rulers of Jawor and Lwówek. Henry retained the town of Środa Śląska, which Henry received in 1277 in exchange for Henry IV's freedom.
