Henry III of Głogów (Polish: Henryk; 1251/60 – 11 December 1310) was a duke of Glogów from 1274 to his death and also duke of parts of Greater Poland during 1306–1310. He was one of the sons (probably the second) of Konrad I, Duke of Głogów, by his first wife Salome, daughter of Duke Władysław of Greater Poland.

Apr 26, 2022 · Henry III (I) of Glogów (Polish: Henryk III głogowski; b. 1251/60 - d. 3 December 1309) was a Duke of Glogów (Glogau) from 1274 to his death and also Duke of parts of Greater Poland during 1306-1309.
When in 1476 the Głogów line of the Piast dynasty became extinct with the death of Henry XI, fights over his succession broke out between his cousin Duke Jan II the Mad of Żagań and Elector Albert III Achilles of Brandenburg, the father of Henry's widow Barbara of Brandenburg.
In 1291, during the great fire of Głogów, the castle burnt down. It was rebuilt by Henry III, who incorporated already brick castle into the town’s defensive wall system. During the fights between Henry III of Głogów and Henry of Legnica, the latter was imprisoned at the Głogów castle.
Heirs of Henry III. The widow received the main part of the duchy (Głogów), while their sons divided their inheritance. Henry IV stayed with Przemko in Żagań, John received Scinawa, and Conrad and Boleslaus inherited Oleśnica jointly.
