In Jane Austen’s words, Henry Tilney, the hero of Northanger Abbey, seemed to be about “ four or five and twenty, was rather tall, had a pleasing countenance, a very intelligent and lively eye, and, if not quite handsome, was very near it.”. In addition he came from a respectable family in Gloucestershire.
Henry Tilney is totally a class act and makes a likable and hugely entertaining love interest. So that's good then. Catherine is super naive and Henry does help her to become more self-aware. Henry is very considerate and funny and is a very good suitor overall. But Henry might be more than a bit overbearing in his attitude, charming as it is.
