Herschel Daugherty (27 October 1910 – 5 March 1993; age 82) was an American director. Daugherty directed the Star Trek: The Original Series first and third seasons episodes "Operation -- Annihilate!" and "The Savage Curtain".
Daugherty worked as dialogue director on several films in the 1940s and 1950s, while also playing (often uncredited) bit parts in movies as an actor. He began his directing career in television in 1952 and over the course of three decades, helmed over eighty episodes of different series.
