High Tide was a Poverty Row noir from Monogram Pictures, directed by John Reinhardt. Starring Lee Tracy, Don Castle and Julie Bishop, newspaper man Tracy enlists private eye Castle to help him prevent a gambling kingpin from taking over the entire city. Eddie Muller praises it as a glimpse into the old Los Angeles when newspapers were king.
