Who am I. Hi there! My name is Howard Chen and I am an Assistant Professor of Planetary Sciences at Florida Institute of Technology, located in the beautiful Space Coast and just 20 minutes away from NASA Kennedy. Previously, I was a NASA Postdoctoral Program Fellow researcher at Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC).

Dr. Chen has been treating patients with macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal detachments and a variety of other disorders of the macula and retina, at the Retinal Diagnostic Center since 1999. He has attending privileges and performs surgery at all the major hospitals in the South Bay Area, Santa Cruz Area and the Peninsula.

My name is Howard Chen and I am a final year graduate student at Northwestern University and will soon join NASA Goddard Space Flight Center as an Postdoctoral Program Fellow. Since the summer of 2019, my research has been supported by a three-year Future Investigators in NASA Earth and Space Science and Technology ( FINESST) Research Award.
