Wang Chung is an English new wave band, formed in London in 1980 by Nick Feldman, Jack Hues and Darren Costin. The name Wang Chung is Chinese (黃鐘, pinyin: huáng zhōng; Wade–Giles: huang chung), meaning "yellow bell" in English, and is the first note in the Chinese classical music scale.

Huang Chung is the self-titled debut studio album by the English new wave band Huang Chung (later known as Wang Chung). Huang Chung was released on March 1982 on both vinyl and cassette. Included on the album cover is the name of the band in Chinese (黃鐘, literally Yellow Bell) meaning the first note in the Chinese classical music scale.

Jack Hues, Nick Feldman (aka Nick De Spig), and Darren Costin (aka Darwin) re-grouped and started out again as a stripped-down three-piece unit named Huang Chung. The band recorded four live tracks for 101 Records, all of which appeared on a pair of compilation albums in 1980 and 1981.
