Apr 25, 2018 · Hugh Levick founded the Hear Now Music Festival in 2011, he said, for one obvious reason: You’d have a better chance hearing the work of Los Angeles-based composers in Berlin or Paris than in L.A.
The premiere of Levick’s piano concerto, INCLUSION, performed by pianist Neal Stulberg and the UCLA Philharmonia took place in Los Angeles in 2023. His piano solo, INSPIRED BY DOUBT, was premiered by Yevgeniy Milyavskiy in the summer of 2023. In 2011 Levick created HEAR NOW –A Festival of New Music by Contemporary Los Angeles composers.
