    Hugh Wedlock Jr., co-wrote the episode of Good Times titled "The Comedian and the Loan Sharks" with Jack Matcha.

    A veteran comedy writer for film, radio and television, Hugh provided gags for Jack Benny and Eddie Cantor. Wedlock wrote for the big screen in the 1940s, including such movies as The Good Fellows in 1943, Abbott and Costello Meet the Killer, Boris Karloff in 1949, and the story for Abbott and Costello Meet the Invisible Man in 1951. In addition to writing for Benny and Cantor, Wedlock also wrote television scripts for Jack Oakie and Edgar Bergen and for such 1950's TV shows The Frank Sinatra Show, The Colgate Comedy Hour, The Lucy Show, McHale's Navy, and the highly popular 1968-73 NBC-TV comedy series Laugh-In.

    Wedlock died in Los Angeles of heart failure.
