Racing career. Stricklin grew up in Calera, Alabama. He married Pam Allison, the daughter of NASCAR legend Donnie Allison after they were introduced by her cousin Davey. Stricklin was the last member of the Alabama Gang . In 1987, Stricklin won NASCAR's Dash Series championship and made his debut in what was then the Winston Cup Series .

It was a small crew but it was a wrecking crew nonetheless, wreaking damage and havoc from the short tracks of Alabama to the high banks of Daytona and all points in-between.

While never the team with the biggest budget, Junie’s unique resourcefulness and eye for driving talent allowed the famous 90 car to still compete at a relatively high level next to the titans of Cup series.
Sep 2, 2019 · Hut Stricklin was a journeyman driver who raced in the Cup Series from 1987 to 2002, but never won a race. He came close in the 1996 Southern 500, leading most of the way but losing to Jeff Gordon in a thrilling duel.
