Ian David McShane (born 29 September 1942) is a British actor. He is known for his television performances, particularly as the title role in the BBC series Lovejoy (1986–1994), [2] Al Swearengen in Deadwood (2004–2006) and its 2019 film continuation , as well as Mr. Wednesday in American Gods (2017–2021).
