Biography. Ina Weisse, born on 12 June 1968 in Berlin, completed her acting training at the Otto-Falckenberg-Schule in Munich. She had her first acting engagements at the Münchner Kammerspiele (1991/92) and at the Nationaltheater Mannheim (1991-1994). At the same time she studied philosophy in Heidelberg and Paris (1992-1996).

I met with German director Ina Weisse ( The Architect) on Monday, September 9, 2019, at the Toronto International Film Festival, to discuss her new film, The Audition ( which I also reviewed ). Joining us was her lead actress Nina Hoss ( Phoenix ), and together we had a lively conversation about the movie’s production.
