Divergent is middling YA, not the worst I've read but not particularly good. [I'm not disparaging YA at all, I read a lot of it.] It's not really anything like The Hunger Games. Their only comparison to the HG is that they are a YA post apocalyptic dystopian with a female lead that is written in the first person.
