Mar 5, 2024 · Jun 30, 2022. #3. While 576 is a higher resolution (720x576), 480 (720x480) is ultimately the ideal one as it runs in 60hHz than 50Hz. So, if I ever see games (or backups) that ask if I want to run in 50Hz or 60Hz, I choose the latter.
Mar 3, 2024 · Files will end up as 50p, which is fine as they will keep original motion. Upscaling is about pointless for DV sources. Just use square aspect, so 768x576 or 1024x576 (or even 720x540 or 720x404) depending if footage is 4x3 or 16x9. Then export as h264/5 with few eg. 10Mbits average bitrate and archive. Top.
Mar 14, 2024 · When I convert the UK DVD with PAL 576 for use on my media server (MakeMKV) at home, and then run it thru 2K upscale with DioneTV setting for interlaced, the resulting output is incredibly good visually (playback is on a 4K TV with Plex client fed from UnRaid media server with Plex server).

Mar 5, 2024 · The only way I know of to get it is through Swiss, and that's GameCube homebrew. (which sucks for PAL games in progressive, some PAL GCN games don't support 60hz at all, and speed up if hacked; hey developers, is it even possible to support 576p in Wii mode software?)
Mar 5, 2024 · 576i (50Hz)< 480i(60Hz) < 480p(60Hz) The thing is, 576i runs at crappy 50 Hz. Both 480i and 480p at smooth 60 Hz (~NTSC). Sure the resolution of 576i is a bit higher than the other ones, but the overall quality is worse.
Mar 8, 2024 · Users can select a super slow motion portion of the video and turn off the super slow motion effect to convert slow motion to normal speed. However, if your Android devices don’t have this option, you can use some third-party apps to convert slow motion video to normal speed by speeding it up.
Mar 20, 2024 · RetroTINK 5X with PAL 576i via S-Video. The upscaler in my Benq W1070 projector is really bad, the one in my Onkyo TX-NR616 receiver is not working, so I'm looking into a RetroTINK 5X. I have a Pioneer CLD-2950 laserdisc with S-Video out. As most of my movies will be PAL 576i, will the RetroTINK 5X still be able to upscale it to 1080p?
