Built by Yankee settler Isham Day in 1839, the building, which served not only as a single family home but as a harness shop, print shop, and post ofice as well, is once again being re-purposed. This time the oldest structure on its original foundation in Ozaukee County will become a postal history museum and postage stamp gallery.

Isham Day House, more commonly known as the Yankee settler's cottage, at 11312 N. Cedarburg Road. This fall, the Day House is expected to be named to the National Register of Historic Places, primarily because it is the oldest building in Ozaukee County and is considered the best representative example of pioneer life here.
