    Jack Donner (29 October 1928 – 21 September 2019; age 90) was the actor who played Tal in the Star Trek: The Original Series third season episode "The Enterprise Incident", and a Vulcan priest in the Star Trek: Enterprise fourth season episodes "Home" and "Kir'Shara". He filmed his scenes for "The Enterprise Incident" on Friday 21 June 1968 at Desilu Stage 9.

    Along with Majel Barrett, Joseph Ruskin, Vince Deadrick, and Clint Howard, he is one of only five actors to appear in both The Original Series and Enterprise. He and Deadrick are the only ones of the five who did not appear on Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.

    Early in his career, he was briefly married to actress Julie Sommars, with his next marriage was to actress Margaret Markov.

    In 1966, Donner, along with Lee Delano, founded the Oxford Theater in Los Angeles, a playhouse and acting school. Their students included Don Johnson, Craig T. Nelson, and Barry Levinson.

    In addition to Star Trek, some of his other 60s acting roles included The Man from U.N.C.L.E., Mission: Impossible, and Kojak.

    After becoming ill in 1977, Donner retired from acting, and studied to be a licensed psychotherapist. After a few years of practice, he returned to acting in 1991.
