Nov 19, 2007 · Jack Of Diamonds | John Phillips. 19 November 2007. 929 Views. John Phillips was one of the most notable pop/soft-rock songwriters and vocal arrangers (see The Mamas & The Papas) to emerge from the psychedelic 60s, but he had a fairly rough go of it after the band imploded in 1968.
"Jack Of Diamonds is the second release in the ongoing Papa John Phillips Presents album series, featuring material from his previously unreleased second solo album recorded in 1972 and 1973. All tracks are previously unreleased except tracks 14 and 15, which are from the Brewster McCloud soundtrack.
